Sodimac\u2019s Chairman, Juan Pablo del R\u00edo, highlighted the executive\u2019s contribution to the company\u2019s growth and transformation, a period during which its market leadership was consolidated. Once his successor is appointed, Eduardo Miz\u00f3n will support that person to ensure a smooth and successful transition.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eduardo Miz\u00f3n has submitted his resignation and informed Sodimac\u2019s Board of Directors of his decision to step down as General Manager in Chile on December 31, 2025, to pursue a career as a corporate director. He has held the position since August 2006. Following this, he will support the new General Manager until June 30, 2026, to ensure a smooth and successful transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sodimac\u2019s Chairman, Juan Pablo del R\u00edo, emphasized: \u201cWe are deeply grateful for his valuable contribution to Sodimac\u2019s growth and transformation. Over the years, the company has continued to strengthen its leadership in the home improvement and construction products market, developing new physical and digital capabilities to enhance our customers\u2019 experience. Eduardo has always been closely connected to the business and deeply committed to the people who make it possible. We appreciate the way he has led the company\u2014with a high-performance profile and strong results. He has successfully balanced Sodimac\u2019s growth with sustainable development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Corporate General Manager of Sodimac and current board member, Sandro Solari, highlighted: \u201cEduardo Miz\u00f3n is an exceptional leader who transformed Sodimac. I had the opportunity to work alongside him for many years and can say without a doubt that he is an outstanding executive: strategic, charismatic, and effective. He has consistently shown deep respect for people, fostering trust and focusing on both customers and employees. He is highly committed to exceeding customer expectations and developing new leaders. We are profoundly grateful for his invaluable contributions over all these years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eduardo Miz\u00f3n is a well-respected executive, also known for his commitment to sustainability. He worked at Sodimac for over 30 years, holding various positions. Initially part of the commercial team, he served as Business Manager for Hardware and Finishes\u2014core areas of the company. He later held roles as Manager of Development and Research for Chile and Latin America, Homecenter Division Manager, and Operations Manager (Sodimac Constructor, Homecenter, and B2B Sales). Additionally, between 2013 and 2014, he chaired Acci\u00f3n Empresas, an organization that brings together companies committed to sustainability. He has also actively participated in initiatives such as CEOs for Inclusion, the United Nations Global Compact, and Fundaci\u00f3n Carlos Vial Espantoso, which promotes collaborative labor relations within companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his tenure, Sodimac Chile\u2019s sales grew from approximately US$1.3 billion in 2005 to US$2.2 billion by the end of 2024, despite the recent construction crisis. The company reached a record revenue of US$3.45 billion in 2021. Sales for the first half of 2025 (the latest reported period) totaled US$1.271 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also worth noting the increase in operational efficiency: monthly sales per square meter rose from US$281 in 2005 to a peak of US$416 per square meter in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
