Falabella’s board of directors appointed Alejandro González Dale as General Manager, effective April 5, 2024. Previously, he served as the company’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for over 17 years.
González holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de Chile, where he graduated with the highest honors and received the ICU Award (Alumni Association). He also holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was awarded the J. Fred Weston Award for Excellence in Finance, and completed an Executive Program at Stanford University.
At Falabella, he has overseen the financing and management control of all the group’s businesses and led the company’s capital increase in 2018 to finance its digitalization process and regional growth.
Gonzalo Smith Ferrer has served as Corporate Chief Legal and Governance Officer since December 16, 2015. He is a licensed attorney in both Chile and North Carolina (USA), holding a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also earned an LLM from Harvard Law School and an MBA from the University of Arkansas.
Previously, he was Vice President and General Counsel for Walmart across Latin America; Legal Affairs Manager for Walmart Chile; and an associate at Carey y Cía. (Santiago). He has also worked at Cuatrecasas Abogados (Madrid) and Davis Polk & Wardwell (New York).
Juan Pablo Harrison has served as Corporate Chief Financial and Administrative Officer since May 31, 2024. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has over 25 years of experience leading finance, administration, and management control departments.
Previously, he was Corporate Manager of Planning and Financial Management at Falabella S.A. for six years, and between 2012 and 2018, he held the position as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at CMR Falabella and Corporate Finance Manager at Falabella Financiero. Additionally, he worked as Vice President of Finance and Services at Universidad de Las Américas (2009-2012), as Finance Director at Publiguías Yell (2007-2009), and led finance and control departments in companies of the Enersis Group between 1996 and 2007.
Benoit de Grave has served as Corporate Chief Transformation Officer since February 2024. He holds a degree in Business Administration from ICN Business School (France) and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management (USA), with a long professional career.
Prior to his current role, he was, the CEO of Linio, CEO of Banco Falabella and Falabella Insurance Brokerage, and Commercial Manager of Falabella Financiero in all its countries, leading the digital transformation of its services. Earlier in his career, he held various positions at companies such as Peugeot, McKinsey, and BBVA.
Ricardo Ríos Gil, born in São Paulo in 1975, has been the People Management Officer at Falabella S.A. since December 2022. Throughout his career, he has worked in multinationals and startups, including 18 years of development at Procter & Gamble, with experience in Brazil, Canada, and Panama, as well as his role as Chief People / ESG Officer at Petlove & Co.
He has cross-functional experience in areas such as Quality, Operations, Procurement, and Human Resources, holding leadership roles since 2012. In the People area, he has led cross-functional projects and the design and delivery of employee experiences. Ríos holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas and has an international MBA in Administration from FAAP Brazil, as well as an MBA in Human Resources from Veiga de Almeida University.
Ashish Grover serves as Corporate IT Manager, previously holding the position of Managing Director of Falabella India. Grover is an engineer from the University of Delhi and holds a Master of Science from the University of Albany, United States. He has over 20 years of experience leading technology programs in various countries and companies, including Reliance, Target, GE, and American Express.
He joined the company in 2018 to lead Falabella’s technology development center in India, with the goal of accelerating the company’s transformation and driving the implementation of disruptive and innovative solutions.
Jorge Joannon Errázuriz has served as Controller Manager since August 14, 2014. He holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering from the University of Chile and worked at Citibank N.A. for 17 years, holding positions in various departments, such as trading desk, customer relations, product development, and administration. Subsequently, he served as Head of the Control Department at Comercial Kauffman S.A. for 6 years, and as Controlling Manager at Laboratorios Andrómaco S.A. for 3 years.
Alejandro Arze Safian has served as Corporate General Manager of Home Improvement since March 2020. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
He joined Falabella in 2000 and has held various executive roles in Sodimac, Insurance, CMR, and Banco Falabella. And in the last two companies, he served as general manager.
Francisco Irarrázaval serves as General Manager of Falabella Retail. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master’s in Economics and Public Policy from Harvard University.
Previously, he was General Manager of Ripley Chile and Peru, and prior to that, he was Manager of e-commerce. He is also the founder and former executive director of Un Techo para Chile and Un Techo para mi País.
Renato Giarola has been the General Manager of Tottus Chile and Peru since December 1, 2023. Giarola is Brazilian, a civil engineer, and has over 24 years of experience in the retail and food sectors, where he has worked at companies such as Lojas 1A99, Dia, and Grupo Pao de Acucar. Additionally, he is an advisory member of SA Varejo and Co-Founder of SA+ Tech.
Fernando de Peña Iver has been the General Manager of Mallplaza since January 1, 1990. Prior to his current role, he was the General Manager of Plaza Vespucio S.A. and then Aseger S.A., both companies within Mallplaza, where he spent 18 years. He holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has led Mallplaza from its inception, transforming it into a company that manages 23 regional shopping centers in Chile, Peru, and Colombia.
Juan Manuel Matheu has served as General Manager of Falabella Financiero since June 1, 2018. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica de Argentina and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He joined Banco Falabella Chile in 2009 as Channel Manager, and three years later, he took on the role of General Manager for that business. During that period, he led the transformation of Banco Falabella into a full-service retail bank, making it the fifth-largest player in debit card usage, with growth that outpaces the industry average.
Ricardo Hepp de los Ríos has served as General Manager of Falabella Real Estate since April 1, 2009. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Adolfo Ibáñez University and an MBA from IESE Business School at the University of Navarra. Having been with Falabella since 1995, he also served as Country Manager in Colombia and Peru. Before joining Falabella, he worked as a Project Engineer for the Chilean company CMPC.
Alex Zimmermann became the Country Manager of Peru on October 1, 2023, bringing over 20 years of experience with the company. Before this role, he was the General Manager of Saga Falabella starting in 2013.
He holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School Executive Education and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Lima.
Rodrigo Fajardo Zilleruelo has been the Country Manager of Colombia since February 9, 2010. Previously, he served as General Manager of Sodimac Peru and CFO of Falabella Retail Chile. He has been with the company for over 18 years and has held various executive positions within Empresas Falabella.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from Adolfo Ibáñez University and an MBA from the University of Navarra (Spain).
